Wayne Kets provides tennis coaching at Boskruin Tennis Club. Wayne has forged a close relationship with the club over a number of years and is also involved in senior tennis and the running of the club.
Wayne is passionate about introducing children to the game of tennis. Teaching children to play is his speciality, focusing on nurturing a love for the game and growing each child’s confidence. Young tennis players progress through the levels and challenges of tennis at their own pace. 
During the school holidays, knock out tournaments and round robins combined with tennis clinics are organised for learners, with lots of prizes for all.
Tennis coaching for all ages at every level happens every Monday to Saturday from 14h00 to 20h00. Two other coaches ably assist Wayne. All coaches are suitably qualified and registered with SATA. All learners are filmed twice a year as part of the process to monitor and promote their development. In addition, all players are assessed twice a year with formal reports showing their progress, strengths and weaknesses. Group lessons and squad training Group lessons are planned in four-week batches to ensure that all aspects of tennis are covered over a period of time. Details of the lessons are set out in the monthly newsletter. On rainy days lessons are held indoors, teaching tactics, rules, match advice and much more. Fees for group lessons are as follows: 30 minutes costs R200 per month 45 minutes costs R240 per month 90 minutes costs R260 per month Individual lessons Individual lessons are offered at all levels to all age groups. 30 minutes costs between R100 and R150 per lesson 60 minutes costs between R200 and R300 per lesson Should the lesson be at night, the use of floodlights will be charged at R25 per hour. Equipment Tennis equipment, including racquets, apparel, shoes and accessories are sold at BTC through the coaches based at the club. |
